Position Summary

The purpose of this role is to work with our Bangalore based support centre and Australian based teams to deliver support and value across our diverse support customers.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Plan, design, and size the architecture for new or Cloud installations of PeopleSoft eg load balancing and high availability; design disaster recovery solutions; infrastructure sizing (RAM, Storage etc)

  • Install and configure Peoplesoft Internet Architecture (PIA) including web application, batch and database tiers including establishing required virtual servers, OS installation and network configuration

  • Analyze and resolve technical issues across application tiers and database

  • Install, configure and troubleshoot Elasticsearch

  • Conduct file/database back-ups, restore database refreshes, create/clone new PeopleSoft environments

  • Create new PUM images and apply PUM patches/fixes across Peoplesoft applications

  • Apply upgrades and patches/fixes across PeopleTools including Middleware

  • Apply CPUs and critical OS patches to RDBMS and operating systems

  • Identify activities and estimate work effort necessary to create new PUM images, perform PeopleTools upgrades/patches and apply application PUM updates

  • Package and migrate PeopleSoft code/objects between environments including configuration data, GP payroll rules, projects

  • Utilize OCI administration tools including PeopleSoft Cloud Manager

  • Create and maintain technical documentation on installations, operational procedures, PeopleSoft architecture, security design and other

  • Undertake Unix and Windows system administration

  • Administer appropriate security controls across infrastructure housing PeopleSoft

  • Investigate, troubleshoot and fix errors across PeopleSoft infrastructure

Key Skills, Experience & Attributes

  • At least 5 years of recent experience in a PeopleSoft System Administration role within a PeopleSoft ERP environment (HCM Preferred). PeopleTools 8.55 or higher

  • PeopleSoft HCM exposure (FCMS, Campus Solutions also desirable)

  • Use of Application Designer, Data Mover, SQR, PeopleCode, Query, Application Engine, Integration Broker, Cobol, Process Scheduler, Integration Broker

  • Configuration of Application server, Web server, Tuxedo, WebLogic

  • Oracle 12c or higher (SQL Server also desirable) with SQL expertise

  • Oracle Cloud Manager and exposure to OCI

  • Capability to work in a team environment, as well as independently.

  • Experience with Lift & Shift on-premise PeopleSoft to Cloud

  • Change Assistant, PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM). and DPK expertise

  • Installing Oracle RDBMS and OS patching desirable

Qualifications

Tertiary level qualifications coupled with at least 5 years of experience in Peoplesoft DBA
