Position Summary

Due to the growth of our business, we are seeking a new SuccessFactors Functional Architect based in Hong Kong.

To be considered for this role you will be a senior certified SuccessFactors consultant with exposure across multiple SF modules and SAP HR & Payroll. You will have a background as a HR business professional, working on HR architectures, strategies, policies and standards while ensuring existing components remain compatible.

The Functional Architect is the team leader, analysing and reviewing proposals from the team, providing appropriate solutions to problems, and making decisions on the way forward by acting as liaisons between the client and the consultancy team. Their work involves directly dealing with the client to clearly understand its needs, and to provide possible solutions for the client’s consideration. The team receives and works on the client’s information from the architect.

 

You will be responsible for:

  • Lead the overall functional solution design and workshops (including organisational design and role based permissions)

  • Recommend best practice approaches

  • Overall accountability for cross module design

  • Solution deployment, instance approach, environment management

 

General Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager with the scoping, identification of project deliverables and development of the project schedule

  • Provide guidance on SuccessFactors implementation methodology and approach

  • Provide leadership to the project's functional resources

  • Review existing module and/or proposed future module integration, to encourage consideration of current and future requirements to support integration of the overall HCM solution

  • Lead and facilitate configuration design workshops, providing HCM application subject matter expertise

  • Lead and facilitate security design workshops

  • Guide overall solution design to promote alignment with customer requirements

  • Facilitate completion of workbook (design) documents in collaboration with the customer

  • Provide overview of standard reporting options, as per the Statement of Work

  • Lead playback sessions to the project team at the completion of each build iteration

  • Review the completed build each iteration to confirm the build reflects the customer's signed workbooks

  • Provide overview of various testing approaches available to the customer

  • Provide example test scripts and/or test scenarios

  • Guide customer in designing appropriate test user hierarchy

  • Creation of test user accounts

  • Provide support and guidance for User Acceptance Testing activities and defect resolution processes

  • Provide module specific System Administrator training as per SOW

  • Guide customer through requirements for data migration activities

  • Provide module-specific data file specifications and sample file

  • Provide employee data file specifications and sample file

  • Responsible for management of data uploads

  • Escalate project concerns, issues and risks to Project Manager

  • Track configuration issues and revise configuration to incorporate Customer requirements (up to three iterations)

  • Raise product issues directly with SuccessFactors on behalf of the customer, and liaise with SF for issue resolution

  • During the project, raise product enhancement requests on behalf of the customer via the Customer Community

  • Document and coordinate the technical cutover activities, production build and system lock down

  • Communicate allocation of cutover activities across the project team

  • Liaise with Customer and SuccessFactors for support transition activities

 

To be successful for the role, you will have:

  • Led an enterprise roll out of a multi module SF implementations, in particular with EC experience

  • Understanding of cross module business processes including best practice

  • Cross module integration

  • Understanding and working experience of the SF integration tools and APIs and data migration

To be considered for this position, you will need to possess previous experience within a similar role as well as the above mentioned skills and experience.
