The Global IT Manager is responsible for Presence of IT’s IT network and systems. This hands on role will require a person with ability to provide direction and advice on IT solutions that will best help Presence of IT grow and perform more efficiently. The Global IT Manager is also responsible for managing internal projects, deployments, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of all current IT systems, including G suite, Azure AD, Cisco/Meraki/Riverbed network devices, SSO software applications and peripherals.
Manage and develop Global IT team, including, training, evaluation, guidance, discipline.
Identify and resolve problems related to network infrastructure, hardware components, operating systems and business software.
Communicate regularly with executive management and all users of information services and systems.
Ensure the creation and maintenance of all written documentation, including system and user manuals, license agreements, and documentation of modifications and upgrades.
Oversee provision of IT Support for all employees globally
Identification and monitoring of our IT risk profile
Manage the IT components associated with ISO 27001 compliance
Keep current with the latest technologies and determine what new technology solutions and implementations will meet business and system requirements.
Manage financial aspects of the IT Department, including purchasing, budgeting, and budget review.
Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
Continuous improvements of operating procedures and best practices, including providing written protocols and guidance to IT staff and end-users.
Negotiate and administer supplier contracts and service agreements.
Key Skills, Experience & Attributes
Computer Science degree, or equivalent experience in a similar role (5-10 years).
IT strategic focus however the ability to be hands on.
Strong user focus and genuine desire to assist others.
Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
3+ years experience in IT Infrastructure leadership roles and excellent communication skills.
Excellent project management and organisational skills, and ability to manage varied and conflicting demands to agreed standards and timelines.
“Can do” attitude when handling complex situations.
Results oriented and strong analysis and problem solving skills.
Azure Active Directory experience with MCSA Certification.
Linux system administration experience.
Strong Firewall experience with Cisco ASA & Meraki MX with Cisco CCNA/CCNP Routing and Switching and/or Cisco CCNP/CCNA Security Certification.
Hands-on experience in AWS (VPC, EC2, S3, CloudFormation and IAM)
Experience in ISO 27001, Information security and/or IT security role desirable.
Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology with coupled with 5-10 years experience in a similar role.
